I met Kayla a few years ago when her mom started dating my good friend, Jeff. I had the privilege to shoot Jeff and Chrissy’s wedding a few years ago, and was honored that they asked me to shoot Kayla’s senior portraits, too. I love working with friends, especially when they are as beautiful and sweet as Kayla.
I got the chance to work with my buddy Johnny again yesterday. His kids are just the greatest and the bond he has with them is awesome! I had a blast hanging out at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens to take pictures of this amazing family.
I’m not ready to share them all, but here is a quick sneak preview of what is to come.
H is a true beauty. It took her awhile to warm up to my camera, but I think it was worth the wait. Just wait until you see what else I have of this angel.

Shortly before my back surgery, which was a HUGE SUCCESS, I did a shoot with the Lowry family again. I’ve had the honor of working with this family several times over the years. I love them to pieces! Dylan and Luke are the most adorable little fellas imaginable. Don’t you agree?
I finally got my good friend Jennifer and her daughter Tori in front of my camera just before Christmas. It took years for this to happen, but I think my patience paid off! Aren’t they beautiful?
As you might know, I messed up my knee back in March and haven’t been doing much shooting. Well, I had surgery to repair the tear in May and on Wednesday my doctor released me back to my normal life! I’m so excited to be cleared for “any activity the knee will tolerate”. As a test, we went out yesterday to take some pictures. I did just fine, so I guess that means I’m open for business again! I’m so excited!
